An international kitchen and bathroom fixture manufacturer relocated their UK storage warehouse to the Midlands to capitalise on its distribution benefits, making for more cost-effective and faster distribution, along with e commerce demands

CHALLENGE

Teccon were asked to design supply and install a system that not only could store over 1000 pallets, but to have low level pick locations for order fulfilment, along with pallet protection throughout.

SOLUTION

We installed over 162 bays of Dexion P-90 pallet racking with column guards, rack end barriers, upright protection with the lower levels split with timber decking supported by Z-Beams that created a perfect pick solution.

WHY Z-BEAMS?

Z-Beams were used due to their weight, cost, and space-saving benefits.

They are lighter than standard beams and can support appropriate loads when used as a pick location. These beams are more affordable than standard beams, making the installation more cost-effective, additionally, they have an ergonomic benefit as the decking is inset rather than sitting on top of the beam. Z-Beams can be used with manyPallet Racking Systems.
